Hidden Terminals: Terminal 2 and Terminal 4

Terminal 2 — From Domestic Terminal to Cargo Facilities

Terminal 2 formerly served as the main domestic terminal at Ben Gurion Airport. Over the years, as domestic flights were scaled back, the terminal was demolished and replaced by cargo facilities and a logistics hub, including CAL (Carmel Aviation Ltd.) facilities and other cargo operators.

The conversion of Terminal 2 illustrates how the airport adapts its infrastructure to the changing needs of the aviation industry.

  • Formerly served as the main domestic terminal
  • Demolished to make way for cargo facilities
  • Now houses CAL facilities and other cargo operators

Terminal 4 — Private Aircraft and Executive Jets

Terminal 4 is located at the edge of the airfield and is not open to the general public. The terminal is used for the assembly and maintenance of executive jets and for private aviation.

These changes to Terminals 2 and 4 illustrate how Ben Gurion Airport continuously evolves and adapts to modern logistical and commercial needs, beyond regular passenger operations.

  • Located at the edge of the airfield
  • Not open to the general public
  • Used for the assembly and maintenance of executive jets
  • Designated for private and business aviation
